of Ottawa (EVCO) E-mail Lists
The Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa e-mail list allows
you to communicate with other electric vehicle enthusiasts in Ottawa and
around the world. You do not have to be an active EVCO member to use the
EVCO e-mail list but you do need to subscribe.
EVCO discusison e-mail list
The EVCO discussion list
is a general forum for discussion about electric vehicle issues and
EVCO activities. Only subscribers can post messages. Posted messages
are sent by e-mail to all list subscribers.
To subscribe: Send
an e-mail to "evco-request@tricolour.net"
with the body containing only "subscribe". Write the word
"end" on the next line. The subject line will be ignored.
Follow the instructions in the reply.
To
unsubscribe: Send a request to "evco-request@tricolour.net"
with "unsubscribe" in the body. Write "end" on the
next line. The subject line will be ignored. Follow the instructions
in the reply.

Remember, your message is being sent to many people, so please be polite,
concise and on-topic.
Netiquette:
Read this Netiquette
document published by the IETF, which
provides a minimum set of guidelines for Network Etiquette, before posting
to any mailing list. You may be removed from the list if you violate
these.
Attachments: List
postings that contain attachment files will be deleted, especially those
containing executable code or proprietary file formats. This reduces
the spread of viruses and promotes accessibility, interoperability and
appropriate bandwidth usage.

Discussion list - digest
mode
This list is a digest version
of the discussion list. Digests are created every 40kB or daily, whichever
comes first. If you still want to keep up with EVCO discussions but
with fewer e-mails, subscribe to the list in digest mode:
Announcement list
The announcement list is
a moderated, low-volume list to announce events or other items of interest
to electric vehicle enthusiasts in Ottawa. Use this list if you don't
want to recieve all the discussion e-mails, but still want to be informed
of upcoming EVCO events and other announcements
Discussion nomail
The discussion nomail list
is related to the discussion list except that you you can add additional
personal email addresses. Use this option if you want to post from more
than one address but want to receive only one copy of the list.
Obtain a list of all subscribers
If you want to know who else
is on the lists, choose from the following:
Summary of e-mail commands:
Post messages by sending an
e-mail to "evco@tricolour.net".
Send administrative commands
to the appropriate list (below) in the body of an e-mail. Subject line
content will be ignored. If you use a signature line, write the word "end"
on a separate line right after your command.
